Getting there

Car-Parking in the districts 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 20 is subject to charges from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. (except holidays) . You can either buy parking tickets (lasting 2 hours) at any tobacco shop (called Tabak-Trafik) or park your car free of charge in one of the other districts surrounding our hostel. We offer 25 places in our underground parking garage for € 12.-- per day, the entry to our parking garage is in the Forsthausgasse after house no. 83 c

Airport Vienna-Schwechat: Express train S7 to Station Handelskai. Then transfer to either bus 11A or 5A to Leystrasse (2 stops) or you could walk the final 500m.

Arriving from the West (D, CH, Innsbruck, Salzburg and Linz):
By car:
A1 Westautobahn to the Steinhäusl junction, then on the A21-Außenringautobahn to the Brunn am Gebirge junction. From there you take the A2-Südautobahn in direction Vienna until you hit the A 23 Südosttangente, then drive in direction Prague, and turn onto the A22-Donauuferautobahn in direction Prague. Follow this road to the Floridsdorfer Brücke exit, and drive left over the bridge. Our youth hostel is the first building on the right after the bridge. The entry to our parking garage is in the Forsthausgasse after house no. 83 c
By train:
Westbahnhof (Vienna West, 6km): Subway U6 in direction Floridsdorf to the Handelskai station (11 stations), then transfer to bus 11A or 5A for two stops to Leystrasse or you may decide to walk the last 500m.

Arriving from the South (I, SLO, H, Klagenfurt and Graz):
By car:
A2-Südautobahn, turn onto the A23-Südosttangente in direction Prague, then turn onto the A22-Donauuferautobahn in direction Prague, until you hit the Floridsdorfer Brücke exit. Then turn left over the bridge. Our youth hostel is the first building on the right after the bridge. The entry to our parking garage is in the Forsthausgasse after house no. 83 c
By train:
Südbahnhof (Vienna South/East, 6.5km): Express train S1, S2, S3, or S15 to Handelskai (5 stops) then transfer to bus 11A or 5A for two stops to Leystrasse or you may decide to walk the last 500m.

Attention!! Closure of Vienna Südbahnhof from December 13th, 2009, all trains from the south will arrive at Vienna-Meidling !!

By car:
A4-Ostautobahn, turn onto the A23-Südosttangente in direction Prague, then turn onto the A22-Donauuferautobahn in direction Prague, until you hit the Floridsdorfer Brücke exit. A22-Donauuferautoban and turn right over the bridge at the Floridsdorfer Brücke exit. Our youth hostel is the first building on the right after the bridge. The entry to our parking garage is in the Forsthausgasse after house no. 83 c.
By train:
Wien/Vienna Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof (2.5km): Streetcar (tram) 33 in direction Gerasdorferstrasse to Friedrich-Engels-Platz Station (6 stations).
