General information

Das Jugendgästehaus Wels befindet sich auf dem Areal des Kulturzentrums "Alter Schlachthof", keine fünf Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.
Unsere Gäste werden in Zwei- bis Sechsbettzimmern untergebracht. Wir haben 2 Aufenthaltsräume mit Kabel-TV, Musikanlage und Videorecorder.
Fahrradverleih gegen telefonische Voranmeldung.

In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich der Welser Tierpark sowie das Erlebnisbad und das Hallenbad.
Ausflüge: Aquapulco - Bad Schallerbach, Vogelpark Schmiding (Österreichs schönster und größter Vogelpark, 1.200 Vogelarten aus allen Kontinenten auf 80.000 m²).

Wels - eine Stadt mit Geschichte - Wels war römische Provinzhauptstadt - Führungen durch die Welser Altstadt bzw. die Welser Museen.

The "Youth Hostel Wels" is located at the area of the cultural center called "Alter Schlachthof". It is a five minutes walk away from the city center.
We can offer 2-bedded rooms, 4-bedded rooms or 6-bedded rooms and have also got two common rooms with cable-TV, a video recorder and a sound system.
Nearby you will find the zoo of Wels and also the local in- and outdoor swimming pool.
Excursions: Aquapulco - Bad Schallerbach (large in- and outdoor pool, equipped with many water slides) Vogelpark Schmieding (a large number of bird species from all over the world on 80.000 square meters).

Wels is a city with a concise history - it was once a major Roman capital - guided tours through the old center of Wels and it`s museums.

Informationen zur Anreise	How to get here
Mit der Bahn: Wels-Hauptbahnhof, dann Linienbus 2 bis Hauptfeuerwache. Lokalbahnhof (JGH in unmittelbarer Nähe). Mit dem Auto: Richtung Zentrum (Kaiser-Josef-Platz) fahren, dann in westl. Richtung weiterfahren - Einfahrt nach Hauptfeuerwache - Kulturzentrum "Alter Schlachthof" - Jugendgästehaus.	By train: Wels - Hauptbahnhof (central station), take local bus no. 2 to the main fire station. Local train station. The youth hostel is in the neighbourhood. By car: Take direction center (Kaiser-Josef-Platz) and go on to the west End - the entrance is after the fire station.
